Thank you for your interest in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program at Campbell University School of Pharmacy.

Campbell University School of Pharmacy is utilizing PharmCAS, an on-line application service, for our admissions process. Beginning June 1, 2007, you may access their website, www.pharmcas.org, to complete the application for the 2007-2008 application cycle. Your application, official transcripts, letters of reference and PCAT scores will all be submitted through PharmCAS. When your application packet is completed, PharmCAS will release your information to Campbell University. For questions regarding your PharmCAS application, please contact the PharmCAS Student Help Line at (617) 612-2050 or email at info@pharmcas.org.

In addition, you will be responsible for supplying Campbell University School of Pharmacy with a completed Supplemental Application (including a $25 fee).

Prerequisites for Doctor of Pharmacy Program

Course Semester Hours Comments
English Composition 6 English courses must be writing intensive.  Basic literature courses will not be accepted.
Religion 3 Course must be Bible based
Humanities 6 Ex. Literature, Philosophy, Music, Art, Drama, Foreign Language
Social Sciences 6 Ex. History, Political Science, Psychology, or Sociology
Economics/Accounting 3 Microeconomics or General Accounting
Physical Education 2 Selected courses in Health will also be considered
Calculus 3
Physics 4 Physics for health science professions majors (need not be calculus based)
General Chemistry 8
Organic Chemistry 8
Biological Sciences
(> 12 hours are STRONGLY recommended)
8 Recommended: General Biology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and/or Microbiology. Also Appropriate: Immunology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Medical Terminology, Biochemistry
Electives 7 Suggested: Statistics, any Pharmaceutical Sciences or Clinical Research courses, any advanced biology or chemistry courses. Also, certain business electives may be used to meet the requirements of the joint Pharm. D./MBA program
